I have twin boys and my husband actually came across this item online and bought two of them as a surprise for their birthday. At first I wasn't sure this was one of his better ideas but I have to say this is really a great item. The bed is very sturdy and well made and my boys absolutley love going to bed in their "real racecar beds". They have also become very popular with anyone who comes to spend the night at our house - I've gotten some moans and groans from some parents being haggled day and night about their sons wanting a "real race car bed" as their own!

My 3 year old loves this bed. It was fairly easy to put together. We've only had it up for a month so I am still wondering about it's durability, but for now it's been great. It's a perfect bed to get before you make the committment to a whole new set of kid furniture. we were debating on whether to get this bed or the twin size Lightning McQueen bed. It think this was the right choice. He's likely to outgrown his love for Cars within a few years and then we can move to a regular set of furniture for his school years with out feeling like we wasted a lot of money on the very expensive twin bed. Using the crib mattress is so convenient. The higher sides near the top of the bed make it almost like built in rails to prevent them from falling out. His brothers 6 and 4 love it too. And can actually fit in it as well. A crib mattress is bigger than you think. So, he'll have a good few years in this bed.

This bed is really well designed and VERY poorly manufactured. The pre-drilled holes do not line up and the wood pieces are poorly milled and finished.

If I didn't have woodworking skills, I would have to throw this bed in the garbage. I had to add doublers and reinforcers to make this bed even close to suitable for my son to sleep in.

Target you should be ashamed for selling something lacking this much quality. Delta Children's Products - you are negligent.

My son loves Cars and loves going to bed at night in his own big boy bed. It is a perfect height for him to get in and out of. My husband put it together within an half an hour. It is very durable and fits a crib mattress perfectly. It is all wood as well and looks very expensive for what it actually costs.

I bought this bed for my son for his birthday to go with the rest of his bedroom theme. At first there was nothing to it, I had that thing put together all by myself in 20 mins. The only part that I didn't like was the side wings, the pegs would not fit into the holes and when i tried to wedge them in, they poked holes on the other end. So i left them off and then when i tried to position the bed where i wanted it, the back end fell off. Ive tried every angle and direction of pushing and pulling the bed and every attempt ended with something breaking off. The mattress itself is sturdy it can hold both me and my son... now if i can just get him to stay on it all night!!
